| Dunes Collection: Small Paintings on Maple Board Statement: The paintings of Sleeping Bear Dunes are unlike my other work in that there is no narrative. In the dunes the landscape is carved by natural rather than human forces. When the narrative of the painting is removed, what remains is the poetry of color, mark, and interval.
