Statement: “Wheat in Spring and Summer” and “Wheat in Fall and Winter” are a pair of 20 foot long paintings chronicling the cycle of wheat farming. The shifts in perspective and multiple views borrow from both Chinese handscrolls and Italian narrative frescos. “Chelsea Milling,” never publicly exhibited, is the Jiffy Mix plant in Chelsea, MI.
